Gel Dancer’s Pad—a soft gel pad cushions the ball of the foot and reduces pressure by shifting weight from any of the metatarsal heads. Gel Dancer’s Pad is designed with a cut out that surrounds the painful area and relieves stress, tenderness and pain. It can be used for Fat Pad Atrophy, Hallux Limitus, Metatarsalgia and Calluses, as well as any condition that causes pain in the ball of the foot. It can be used in all styles of footwear. Simply apply the self-stick pads to your clean, dry foot.

Gel Hammer Toe Cushions – Adjustable Crest Pad—patients with hammertoes often suffer with a secondary issue of corns on the tops and tips of toes. Gel Hammertoe Cushions provides comfort and support to toes which are bent from this deformity. They lift and straighten the toes, reducing pressure on the tops of the toes. These pads are available in left or right and can be used in all styles of footwear. They are washable and can be re-used over and over again.

Budin Splint – Single Toe—constructed of sturdy but comfortable foam and elastic materials, the Budin Splint gently straightens a hammertoe, helping it to lie straight. Protecting Painful Corns

Corns are small, circular lesions of thickened skin that kind of resemble their namesake—a kernel of corn. At Dr. Jill’s Foot Pads we know that corns normally develop on your foot as a result of repeated friction or pressure on a particular point on your skin. Corns are frequently a secondary condition in patients that have foot deformities such as bunions or hammertoes. The toe that is bent out of position rubs against your shoes, causing repeated irritation that eventually develops into a corn. Corns can be painful and ultimately the underlying cause of the corn needs to be corrected in order to provide permanent relief. Your Podiatrist will know the right time and course of treatment to prescribe.

In the intervening time, however, we offer several products that can help keep the pressure off of an existing corn and greatly increase your daily comfort wearing shoes.

Gel Moleskin—in some cases, particularly in the early stages of a developing corn, a cushion over the irritated spot will bring pain relief. Our Gel Moleskin has a stretchy fabric top and it protects corns with a protective padding. The latex-free sheets can be custom cut to the appropriate size. Gel Moleskin is also great to have in your purse or backpack in case you feel a blister forming anywhere on your foot. Place a small piece over the area that hurts until you can get home and change your shoes.

Foam Corn Pads—made of non-medicated, medical grade foam, these pads have a center hole cut out that you place over the corn to create a barrier which reduces pressure from footwear and transfers weight away from the corn. Designed for use in all types of footwear, Foam Corn Pads have an adhesive backing that keep it in place.

Gel and Fabric Toe Cap—if a corn is large, our Gel and Fabric Toe Cap that slips over the entire toe may be the best choice. This is a good choice if the corn is caused by a hammertoe. Our Gel and Fabric Toe Cap cushions are for sore and deformed toes also and help relieve pain on the tips of the toes as well. Pads are washable and can be used over and over again. Corns are a secondary condition that form as the result of repeated pressure on skin from another foot problem. When you have a bunion, hammertoe or other foot deformity, it causes footwear to rub and put pressure on a spot on your toe or foot. Over time, a corn may form. Eventually, the underlying problem that is causing the corn needs to be treated in order for the corn to be eliminated. Gel Corn Pads—a soft fabric sleeve containing gel inside is expandable and therefore easily stretches to slip over your toe. The gel provides cushioning which protects the corn and relieves pain. An added bonus, Gel Corn Pads release moisturizers onto the hardened skin to soften and relieve discomfort of the problem area. Our Gel Corn Pads are breathable and allow air to circulate. They are washable and can be re-used multiple times in all types of footwear.

All Gel Toe Tubes—these soft gel tubes are 4 ½ inches long and can be custom cut to any size needed. Also washable and re-usable, these tubes protect the toe and provide a barrier between the foot and your shoes. All Gel Toe Tubes come in 5 sizes to ensure a comfortable fit.

All Gel Toe Caps—one-size cap is designed to slip over the top of toes 2, 3, 4, or 5 (not the big toe). The All Gel Toe Caps insulate the toes against shock and pressure and they have a padded toe tip, which provides extra comfort. The gel slowly releases mineral oil to soften and moisturize the skin. These too are washable and re-usable.

The pad you choose will depend on the location and severity of the corn.
